Again!
« on: 15 Sep 2002, 16:47:06 »
I  have questions that have most likely been asked about 600 times, but i can never find them again:

1-how do you make a scud missile fire?  ???
2-  "     "    "      "   "  satchel charge explode (that you        haven't planted yourself?  :hmm:
3- how do make the radio come up as something like 'Alpha squad', or 'Base' or 'Papabear' or something like that instead of 'Alpha Black One' or 'Golf Green Three' etc?   :help:
That's all for now.  :gunman:   :booty:

#2.  You cant.  Camcreate a bomb and remove the satchel charge as the explosion goes off.

#3 To show Papa Bear's messages type [West,"PAPA_BEAR"] sidechat "MESSAGE". Base I think that also works: [West,"BASE"] sidechat "NUKE 'EM ALL". About to show "Alfa squad" I don't know whether or not can be done.

#1
search the FAQ database by keyword scud

No and no how (prove me wrong please) but you could simulate it some how maybe. Like icarus_uk said there, by camcreating a bomb.

Doesn't work for me Seanver. I always thought you'd have to fiddle with the description.ext file to do this.
Though I see it done like this sometimes

unitname sidechat "(base) move in alpha and secure the area"
which will print a line
alpha black 1: (base) move in...
Not all is lost.
