Gimme your Sound bytes
« on: 07 Feb 2004, 22:24:13 »
I don't know if this allowed but what I'd like to do with this thread is have a pooling of links to sites with sound files.

In other words, if you have or know about a site which has good special forces sound bytes like those from Rainblow 6, or Splinter cell, then put a link here. Likewise any other sound files that you think would benefit the mission makers. That way we can all borrow from these audio files and make our own missions richer.

As I say I don't know if this is allowed but even so, it's a good idea. Maybe there should be a page on the site dedicated to sounds. What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good idea to me as far as the thread goes...

about a sounds page that might be interesting, but I'm pretty sure we wouldn't want to host any sound files that came from another game or things that aren't royalty/license free sounds.

I don't see anything wrong with collecting links to sites that do host sound effects, dialogue and those sorts of things though.

If we get a list going I can make it a sticky on this board as well

Ok, I'll go first just in case some of you arn't sure what I'm looking for.
I found this site which has a few interesting sound bytes. They are from the Game Haylo*. Obviously some may not be all that helpful, but others could be useful to you guys.
