I require help with some napalming!
I have the SGHNapalmBomb addon from the depot. (This addon detects firing of a weapon system (e.g. rocket pod, e.g. Hellfire) and replaces the munition at the point of impact with a `napalm bomb' which goes off in a big incinerating-fireball stylee.
However this is of limited use to me for a mission I am doing at the moment. I require a flight of (enemy) Su25s to drop napalm bombs on a town (I really don't like the idea of napalm in rockets and AT missiles). Further to this I also procured the `carpet bombing' script snippet from the depot (had to Google for it with the site still being all skewiff). This script is activated by a trigger whereupon it camcreates sticks of bombs under the plane. I was only using it to generate sticks of 1 (up to 6 times per pass) because, well, because an Su25 ain't a B52. Actually it camcreates HEAT shells or LGBs, depending upon what you tell it and how big a boom you want. This script works great, and puts the bombs right where I want them.
So, in theory I should be able to glue these scripts together somehow and end up with : an Su25 (or many Su25s) that will fly their wp's and chuck out 1-16 bombs on command, with adjustable ripple. These bombs should land and turn into napalm. The trouble I have is that I can't get the napalm script to recognize the weapons generated by the carpet bombing script as having originated from the plane (required for the script as it is run constantly in the background, looking out for release of a specified weapon by a specified unit, whereupon it inteferes to `napalmise' that weapon). Technically, they don't, they're camcreated just underneath it.
Can anyone think of alternate ways to get my Su25s dropping iron bombs, on command and on target (via wp's most likely), with napalm in? Or point me in the direction of pre-existing scripts / addons that would do it for me? All suggestions taken seriously!
PS: Sorry, can't post the relevant scripts at the moment as they are on another PC to which I don't have access right now!
