« on: 02 Jan 2004, 03:18:02 »
I have looked in faq and all over through the forum and i cant seem to find just what im lookin for ... i am makin a mission and am currently working on the intro ... well i cant figure out how to make the conversation take place ... firstly i dont know much about scripting and secondly i havent been able to figure out the sidechat and sideradio commands along with sound and text ... I know i dont have much detail here but what i want is someone that will explain completely to me how to make the conversation in the intro to my mission.

thanks in advance

one more thing is im trying to do this in a script along with the soldier doing a salute as he approaches his superior officer and then going to attention and then the conversation begins ... hope that helps at least a little ...

The radio/chat messages does NOT work in the intro section. I cant tell you why but this is a fact.

For what you're trying to do (talk with the officer), radio chat is definitely not the best way to do it (you dont radio a guy that is right in front of you, dont you).

Use the titleText command (check the com. ref.) to write text in the middle or at the bottom of the screen.

If you want to use some sound files (ogg) you should check one of the many sound tutorials that are available on OFP editing sites.
