How to create an object which is own by the player?
« on: 29 Dec 2003, 22:48:00 »
Hi,

I wonder how to create an object (for example: Pipebomb) that is own by the player? so when others was killed by that bomb, it'll appear as "A was killed by B". Thanks

well you could try grouping it to the player, maybe that would help.

However if a player plants a satchel then detonates it or plants a mine the kill is awarded to him anyway

sounds like your talking about a trigger that will say "so and so killed somthing/somone", is this right?

No, If the player plants a satchel or mine which subsequently kills someone, the kill is awarded to the player.

It is automatic, you don't need to do anything.

But I think what you are after is a text message that will appear on screen declaring who killed who.

I think it can be done with a script, but I have never tried it, so am unable to help much there.

Thanks for the help... I think it's impossible unless the ammo is fired/placed by the players...  :-\
