plane landing and getting out cargo
« on: 26 Dec 2003, 18:59:31 »
hey there

i'm practizing a bit with the editor and i was trying to make this mission and got stuck

my dude (bob) is flying a plane, with 3 guys in the cargo. Then bob lands on an airfield but the cargo has to get out and board a car. And bob also has to get out and board that same car.

for bob: i made a move wp (to the airport) then a transport unload (when bob has landed) then a get out wp (the plane) and then a get in wp (the car)

for cargo: a get out wp (synched with bobs transport unload wp) and then a get in wp (car)

but for some reason the cargo wont get out, i also tried a unload instead of transport unload
and i have not selected civilian -> plane, but empty plane and the bob: this movein bla bla same for the cargo

anyone know what to do?

thx

I can not see clear the waypoints you wrote, and you can have difficulties with them.

When they landed you can start a script.

In this script you can use: 'leaveVehicle', 'unassignVehicle' commands. By these commands they will leave the vehicle for sure.

After that you can use 'assignAsDriver' and 'AssignAsCargo' commands together with 'orderGetIn true' command to get them into the jeep...

for the syntax search these commands in official or unoff command references!

hope this will help

Yeah, I seem to remember that sometimes the AI loons don't "know" that they are in a vehicle which makes it hard to get them out.    Unassign commands (you can put them in the waypoint) should do the trick.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
