Editing Original Missions
« on: 19 Sep 2003, 22:47:32 »
Ok, did my search on here and couldn't find what I was looking for.

I've downloaded a few missions from some friends.  One happens to be a sniper mission, but it takes FOREVER to walk all the way to the objective.  So I want to either move the starting point or put some sort of transportation in there to aid me to my destination.  Nothing big.

My problem:  I open up the mission editor and choose Load Mission and I get the lil sub box that comes up with the map and the name of mission that I'm supposed to choose.  but the only thing that pops up are the missions that I've created myself.  none of the MP missions that I want to edit are there.  I try to type in the name of the mission I want but its a no go.

Anyone got any ideas for a guy with virtually no editing skills?  I'm sure there is a simple way of doing this, but I'm just having some trouble finding direction.

I appreciate any help on this matter guys.

Get the PBO decryptor by Amalfi, which can be found here on OFPEC:

http://www.ofpec.com/editors/browse.php?browsewhat=3&start=25

take the mission thats in your Missions folder and un-pbo it ...

then you can take the resulting folder and place it in your  Users/Missions

folder where all the ones that you create are saved.

now you can open the editor and edit the mission..

this goes for all missions even the official ones..
