Wasting ammunition

In a mission I'm doing I have an empty BDRM. When the M113 that is supporting us spots it starts attacking it. Is it possible to avoid it in order to not waste ammunition? I've tried to set captive the BDRM but that didin't work. Perhaps instead of setting the Combat Mode to another different setting than "Open Fire Engange at will" might work, does anybody know anything?

You might wanna try: UnitName SetCombatMode "blue". That changes the units combat mode into 'never fire'. SetCombatMode "green" is 'hold fire'.

Never fire? I want the unit to support us. The BDRM is near some spetznatz that the M113 must neutralize (euphemism of killing them) I just want the M113 to kill them and any other infantry units, not empty vehicles like that.

sorry... well maybe you could open yer 'mission.sqm' file and change 'side="EMPTY";' of the BDRM into 'side="WEST";'. That might work but I'm not sure. After you've done that just be careful editing the BDRM in the mission editor, 'cause if you do I think it will turn back to 'empty'.

That's cause when you double-click the unit, then press ok, your changing him back to an empty unit. Bet you didn't know that ;D   (yes!  )
