chopper exec "BAS_mah60\FX\BAS_AIRope.sqs". .error
« on: 14 Aug 2003, 07:19:18 »
Tried executing this script in a intro, but get error saying cant be found. I tried playing with the text a tad but couldnt get it to work. Anyone having the same problem, or has anyone got this script to work. I tried to get this to work using all AI. I set up a chopper and activated the script in its init field, I tried it in the choppers waypoint. I set up a ranger squad as cargo in the chopper, I tried setting a ranger squad separately on the map using its own waypoints and putting the command in the activation field for the rangers (as the pdf says). However no go... Any help would be great. Thanks in advance....

Got it working. (Awesome feature)

I see from your reply the line you have is

    "BAS_mah60\FX\BAS_AIRope.sqs"

When it is to be,

   "\BAS_mah60\FX\BAS_AIRope.sqs"

I have the line "chopper exec \BAS_mah60\FX\BAS_AIRope.sqs" in a "move" waypoint 'init..' and speed (limited). Also have an InvisibleH, under the "Move" waypoint.

I made a waypoint before that "move" waypoint, so after the BlackHawk touches the waypoint with flyinheight 25, the BlackHawk slows down and will stay at the height 25 (well will try to get to the height specified). Rope requires no more than height of 25m

The group that is in cargo (BlackHawk) is to have a "getout" waypoint on the "InvisibleH". Should work, I hope I explained ok. (2:00am here)

Ok, you explained it perfectly. However....I still cant get it to work. I know its something I'm doing wrong. I cant seem to figure out what though. Here is a zip file of everything I've been doing. Just place this file in your missions folder. Open the editor under nogova and you should see "test". Go to intro using the pulldown menu in "missions". There you will see everything I've been doing. Also included is the "testcam.sqs". Thanks for all the help...

Ok....got it to work, and it obviously has to do with the testcam.sqs. When I tried it just as a mission it worked just fine. When its in my intro it does not work. Any ideas? Thanks again in advance for all the help.....
