Creating soldier models
« on: 04 Nov 2003, 18:27:34 »
I've looked around in both this section and the addon editing section, but I cannot find either a template or tutorial on making custom soldiers.
I am trying to make extra objects (like helmets) e.t.c on soldiers, but I would like to know where a blank soldier is, so I can freely mess around with it in O2 and see what I come up with.

If someone could tell me where I can find a blank, editable soldier in O2, I'd be grateful.

Well...
the usual way consist of downloading the old demo version of OFP, where you can decompress the "data" & "datap3d" files; wich eventually gives you access to some un-protected models... But this worth nothing: if you don't speak Czech, you won't be able to crawl around the numerous .p3d files that come with the demo. I don't. Well, it's always fun to play around with the original stuff, much to learn I think.

But...
If you haven't fall on it, here comes the

INTERNATIONAL SOLDIER MODEL

An unofficial addon For Operation Flashpoint: Resistance
by W.M. Crielaard http://mods.kmarns.net/

It's coming quite complete, and with a good readme.txt that is almost a tute.

Hope it helps, it's the only mod-purpose unit I knew of.

Cheers.
