Really need help

Okay, I have been searching for answers for ages, just more confused really. Is it possible to edit the sp missions so you can use different weapons? If it is, could someone explain it to me like I am 5 years old ( my actual computer literacy age)

its all done using the desciption.ext... there are a few tutorials in the editors depot about it... namely:

Try decompressing the pbo first. using unpbo. http://www.ofpec.com/editors/resource_view.php?id=358

Then play with description.ext

Look at tutorials for description.ext info...
