Fire n Explosion effects

Ok Im new here and I couldnt really find an appropriate place to post this (since this site mainly deals with mods, addons and scripting), but this is more of a general query about the game

Does the game come with fire and explosive fx? I know their are scripts n all, but i am not much of a map maker and have no idea how to incorporate scripts etc. But on the mission slect screen (for example use Cold War Crisis select screen), in one of the chopper missions, it has a pic of the chopper blowin up a tank and the tank has nice firey explosions. But when i play, i blow up a tank, chopper etc etc and i get no fx but the tank just crummpling and scorched earth.

Can anyone tell me if I need to turn on an option or something in the options menu or such???

There are a few scripts for this...

Some are included in the addons (check out BAS's MH-47E at http://www.ballistic-studios.com/ for an example)

Some are called by the mission maker (check out Chemical Warfare by me on the beta testing thread and kill all the bmps in the base for an example where I used the one that BIS made called firesource.sqs)

So they wernt built in2 the game by the developers?

Yeah its glad to see that Op Flash is still goin strong, I thought i was the only person who loved this game (i knew about these sites ages ago, but my pirated Op Flash was lost so it took me ages 2 wait for the GOTY 2 b released so i can legitimately buy it!)

I have made quiet nice vehicle bomb scripts, very easy to use. With explosion and smoke and all that holywood touch!
