Need some help please ^_^

Hello all, I know you have read these posts many times, but I do need some help.

I have read almost every tut that Ofpec has provided, and most of them have gone right over my head =D... but I need to know 2 things.

First off.. how do I cycle my WP's? I have this bus that I want to go around town, but do to the lack of knowledge I possess, I have to keep adding WP's for it to continue to circle. What would I have to enter in order for it to move from WP A to WP B then back to A?


Second off.... I dont fully understand what I have to do to put people in vehicles, then have them rope down. I read the tut's and got the animated script.. but once again I am confused on how to script and all that jolly ol stuff. If some one would please explain it to me here, where as I can reply back with a question and get it answered. Some times tutorials dont work so well for me because If I get stuck I cant ask it then I have to come to boards like this and ask all you nice people. =D

Welcome to the forum!

The first one is easy.   Put a cycle waypoint next to move WP A.

Second one we'll solve too, no probs ... but tell us a little more first.    What are you trying to achieve?    What did you do?   Where is it going wrong?

maybe u should try to get an example mission with rappeling, then copy and pate to urs then add what u want and take away what u want, and dont forget to put all the nessesary files in ur mission folders without it, it wont work

Well,

My goal is this. I want the mission to start off with a chopper hovering over a city, then I want the player to have the option to rope down into the streets. Its a MP map.

Some one PM'd me directions to put people in vehicles, and that helped, thanks.

But just as I followed the directions in the tut, it didnt work. I named my chopper super64 (if any one knows what im getting at  ) then I named my person tom(lol) and I put this in toms int feild.

And could you please tell me how to cylce the WP once again. I didnt fuly understand what you ment, hehe sorry macguba. ^_^;;

There are good tutes in the Ed Depot which cover waypoints - have another look.

Your waypoints will look like this

MOVE   (A)
MOVE   (B)
CYCLE

Put the cycle waypoint right next to the A move waypoint.
