couple Qs

Can you answer these please?

           1- How do you hurt a unit in different body parts (like head, legs, torso, harms) but not killing them?
           2-How do you use the "FXexecution" command, cause when i tell a unit to do it, when it finishes the anim, it goes back to safe position, same thing with "FXexecutiondead"?
           3-How do you kill a pilot, or gunner in an helicopter (using script or trigger) whitout giveing names to the crews and then telling them to go in the helo with the "movein####" command?

1. unitName setDammage 0.35

...goes from 0.0 up to 1.0 (which is == dead unit) play with it, m8  :-*


3. Name the bird :  BIRD1   (in the NAME field when created)

Then use :   BIRD1d setDammage 1

"d" for "driver"  (so gunner would be "BIRD1g")  ;)

in triggers

Thanks for the reply, but i think i did not explain Q 1 very clearly, I meant that making the torso (only the torso) go red with blood, same thing for legs and head instead of using the setdammage command?

I don't think you can.   You can check if they have been hit in certain places (eg handsHit) but not sure how you would hit them .... setdammage just gives an overall effect.

If all you care about is the blood, try it at different levels of setdammage and see how it looks.
