Wow the response time here is fast

Hi Peoples

im now going to ask someone to give me some much needed help
I have read so many tutorials on how to make cutscenes but its like being stuck in a room with a crazy raving russian on extasy.
would someone be willing to take me through it step by step.

well, I dunno how much editing you've done before m8  ??? :) is yer editor set to "advanced" mode?!
If not - be sure to do it right asway, Sir. Just in case!



About cuscenes - we used to have "cutscenes & sound" board on this site, you should try & ask there  :-* 8)

Oh, and for quicker rep's - reName the thread  ;) som'n like "cutscenes - how?"   or alike  :)

lol I know what you mean .... get hold of the Tutorial Mission.   It has the world's simplest cutscenes for you to use as basic templates.

The read messiah's camera.sqs tutorial and you're away.

anyway, before the topic will be moved ;D :, go on the Editors depot and browse the tutorials, there are a couple of tuts on cutscenes.

Hi everbody

im really suprised at how fast you respond to these topics
any way i have the editor on advanced and im pretty good at editing but when it gets to the scripting and camera scenes you can slog me with a telephone book.
ill look at those tutorials oh and heres a question for mac guba

what do you think is the best user defined artillery script available?
oh and the best ejection script?

about the ejection - here's a really good & easy one:

I'm not an expert on either arty or ejection scripts so I can't say which are the best .... in any case it usually depends on what you are trying to do.

My advice is just try a few and see which one suits you.


Edit:  in general, though not always, the later ones are better.  Some early scripts were magic when they came out but are a bit ropey now.
