Target legality control
« on: 02 May 2003, 00:08:57 »
   Hello everybody!

 I just joined the club, and I got a question. How do force the (AI) RPG soldier to shoot at a helicopter, with that RPG? I've been looking for some kind of a legal targets list, but no luck.

  Thanks!

In the ammo that is used by it, try putting the line:

airLock = true;

I did this for my launcher replacement pack. On a side note. The RPG soldiers do a pretty good job of manhandling the heavies (MI17, CH47, or BAS' MH47) However I've never been shot down or seen a Kiowa shot down in action, AH1/64's also don't seem to be easy targets usually for RPG soldiers. Usually the max velocity I see them getting semi reliable hits is around 130km/h, at an intermediate distance, anything past that speed and distance and it really has to be a big chopper other wise they miss.

This can however be a problem if you want a mission where ai soldiers fight armor, since they will get distracted by any air vehicles in the area. Personally I'd love to see a fire control script for officers to get them to safety their secondary weapons until the time is right.
