Creating Blood trails? / Nice overview picture?
« on: 26 Apr 2003, 16:32:26 »
Hi! :)

1) I'd like to know if there is any possibility to create the blood on the ground that is left by killed soldiers in Resistance. Would make a great bloodtrail :)

2) I have an overview picture for my mission, but it looks not as good as the others. I think I read something about "shadows" in a mission review. Well, can anyone tell me how to make such a nice, quality-style picture?

Thx in advance! :)

1) The blood left on the ground has to be a texture/decal. One that is applied to a new layer above the first texture-layer. The question is how to put it there while in run-time. Of course it is possible, the game uses it all the time, but the code is embedded in the engine (afaik).

2) Keep the pictures the right size. Get a program from ed. depot? I use OFP-studio for that, a great program btw.

Get hold of the Tutorial Mission in the Ed Depot.    Cut the picture, leaving the border, and paste your own pic into the space.   Bingo.

You can do the editing in any picture editing programme that can handle jpegs.  I use Microsoft Photo Editor .. or is it Picture editor?  Anyway, the point it that it doesn't really matter.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
