a few questions, one including player unit swapping

Hi,

Some of my questions may seem a little stupid to you guys, but i've just started in the world of script editing.
Firstly..

Say I am an officer, how do I change to a different unit within the game. Is there a trigger i can use?

Next is.. how do i stop planes from flying into things when they bomb?

Last of all.. How do I change my units weapons, and so they have ammo

1) no can do ;D

2) flying into wat things ? ;D

3) use addweapon nd addmagazine commands ;D - use da addmagazine b4 da addweapon

check da ED depot (link in da link bar above ;D) 4 command referance nd TUT ;D

Ah so you add magazines before you add the weapon...o.k
So I cant change unit within the game>?

prooly AI bug - never count on AI air units ::) - i dont think u can realyd nythin bout dat - but mebe put - this flyinheight 100 (or more ifdey stil crush) ;D in deir init field

LCD is right,  you can't change the player unit.     You can however fake the change of an AI unit.    deleteVehicle the old one and createUnit the new one.    Best done off camera during a cutscene or out of sight of the player.

It's best to add a magazine before you add the weapon, that way the weapon will be loaded when the mission starts.

And they are not stupid questions, we get a lot worse.    Just remember to check the Ed Depot and search the FAQ and the forum before you post - the chances are that the answer to your question is already there.
