Look, there are two airports in Nogova, so what does this mean....................USE THE OTHER ONE! And in case you don't know its on the extreme bottom left of the map which is covered by desert sand. click the Show textures tab on the control panel to clearly see where's the airport.........and I've tested it it works just fine on that runway. If you still insist on using the airport on the island, there seem to be no aircraft parking (or whatever the thing is called) on the side of the runway so I don't think it can taxi.............thats my theory.

Well here is my theory. Imemyself is right. Some planes including the C130 seems to have an atitude if there own. Using the runway in the desert the C130 will takeoff, but keeps very low and makes a hard turn to the right after take off, forcing himself right into the ground...go figure. It dosnt seem to help anything if I place WP's to guide him..hmmm

when you make the config.cpp for a map, you can only define one usuable airport, so every time that a plane is given an order, it taps into the config.cpp and trys to use it. However, there is some hope, as some planes (ie: Su w/e number) seem to be able to take off anywhere, and the computer uses this to its advantage. However, most of the time they will try to taxi to the active airport and take off there.

Because of the way Operation Flashpoint is scripted, it doesnt take into account the possibility of very large planes, so automatically uses rules with the lighter aircraft. And these then obviously conflict with the rules in the addons config.cpp - is there no hope?  :-\

I could use the other one except in my mission spec ops assault the other airport, and the C-130 is supposed to come and land at the SW airport with more troops once it is secured.  Is there any way I could have the C-130 just fly around and land at the SW a/p once there are no East units in the airport. (I already have the trigger for it.)

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the airstrip on island to the north is inoperable and the AI will not recognize it as a runway.  They taxi into the water because they are trying to get to the western desert airstrip, which is operable.
