Spawning Problems

Greetings all,

I have had OFP since it came out.  I have not played it for some time now.  I have gotten back into creating missions again.  I am having problems getting respawn to work in SINGLE player missions.

I remember that this was difficult, but I have lost my notes on this.  

Here is what I have in the Desc.ext

respawn="BASE"
respawndelay=10


Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I have already searched the forums and have not found anything on this.  Most of what I could find on respawning was for vehicles and groups. :)

 It's not difficult... its simply impossible ;)

Respawn is for MP missions only

Crapola!

I thought that there was a script that you could use to make single mission respawns?

hmmm....I guess I will just have to use the save game command instead maybe?  It is a pretty long mission.

Use well placed  savepoints or else give the player the option of having unlimited saves via the radio menu,


 you could also write some sort of script to make the player be able to save a set amount of times.......  like 3 or 5 or something... they would be able to use them whenever , but once you used it the set amount of times, it would no longer be available via the radio menu  as an option

Thanks Kaliyuga!  I will do that.  I think I can remember how to do all that.  If not, then you will see my ugly mug back here again!  :)
