Accelerating time?
« on: 29 Dec 2002, 07:13:38 »
Is there any way to accelerate the passing of time in the game?  I don't mean a one-shot situation, like using a skiptime command, but a consistant acclereated speed.  For example, an hour of game time passing every five minutes real time, etc.

Thanks!

I think you can make a looping script to adjust the time every second so that it appears to be skipping smoothly. Something like this:

#start
skiptime .1
~1
goto "start"

That would mean every second=1 minute. Adjust as needed.

I think the proper command is :

setacctime x

setacctime .50 should make everything go half as fast as normal ;)

and setacctime 1.0 would return things back to the normal time frame

Like Kali said use the setAccTime command. To fasten things up u could use numbers higher than 1 such as setAccTime 6. the lowest number you may use thought is 0.01, so be careful. Also if you use higher numbers like 20 30 40 50 it go so fast you won't even be able to move!!  :o
