Switching Identities?

How would I go about reseting which character the player is, err, playing as? This is kinda done in Daroo's coop mission "Rescue in Regina"(nice intro,btw), as he has the player respawn as the unused ai teammembers. I want to have an "interactive" intro with the player, but want him to go on in the real mission playing as someone else.

O Neil, just a friendly suggestion: Please only post replies if you've actually got something to show for it, pointlessness really only serves to fluster people. Which is, sort of, the exact opposite of actually helping people.  :P

Just a friendly suggestion, as I said.

Anyhow, as to the actual question in hand...it's always possible to simulate the player being or looking different in an intro, since obviously there's no big sign floating above you with the words "PLAYER" written on it :toocool: BUT, if you're suggesting the player could move about inbetween (interactivity, I believe you called it), then it's impossible to all my knowledge. You're stuck with the one model throughout the whole mission  :-\
Hmm. Alas. You can allow the player to make choices with the use of the action menue by for instance using the "switchCamera" command (look it up somewhere for instructions), but again, no moving around will be possible. Simple as that.

not 100% sure about multiplayer...I don't think you can spawn as another model there either though...alas...alas...

But it doesn't need to be at will or interactive. I'd settle for just a respawn where I can control the exact loadout, place, and number of respawns(cause I don't want an actual respawn ability). So even if I can find out for instance how Daroo made that so the player could respawn in that way, it'll fufill my needs for the map.
Or someone tell me of a pbo tool that keeps the scripts legible so I can do so reverse engineering.  ;)

P.S.- I'd like to also use this post to thank EVERYONE on this site who contributes, no matter how small, cause it's helped my so much in editing I wouldn't even think of trying thing I've done and wanna do with my maps. So, err, thanks.
