What program?
« on: 29 Oct 2002, 16:50:33 »
I've been playing around with Gmax getting good at modelling with it and I've run into a barrier.  I can export to md3 format and gmax format, but I have no way to get it from there to 3ds which is what I would need to put it in O2.  I know I could use Milkshape, but I can't anymore because it has expired on my PC.  Are there any other programs I could use to get it to 3ds format?
If not, are there any good, FREE modelling programs that export to 3ds that I could download?  If so could you post with a link

Anim8or

is a good, free, tool for making and exporting .3DS files.

How about a way to get from Gmax to 3ds?
I've made several models that I still wish to use in gmax and I can only export from gmax to md3 format...  How would I get it from gmax or md3 to 3ds?

Why not export to .md3 and use Deep Exploration to change to .3DS?  :)
