hello ofpec. i am discovering the pleasures of working with cut resources for the first time and a making some progress, however one issue has me stumped.
i have a picture file that i'm trying to use in a cutrsc that i've created in photoshop, set the alpha channel correctly with the correct mask and then saved it as a tga file. i then imported it to texview and saved it as a .paa. all well and good. however, when i try to run the cutscene, the game crashes to desktop with the error message:
texture has bad pixel format (VRAM). when i have looked at other people's successful attempts, i have discovered that they are all set to DXT1 in texview, but my image defaults to DXT5. is this where the problem lies? if so, everytime i try to save it as DXT1, it reverts back to DXT5 on saving.
can anyone help plz? thx.
