Grab the "PBO_Decryptor_v1.5" somewhere (
;D ), then locate the
following stuff in the OFP game folder :
Ya need to find a PBO file called "DATA 3D"
If you have the RES upgrade, grab it through this path :
OFP / Res / Dta / "Data3D.pbo"
<---THAT's THE ONE ( back it up : de-pbo a copy, not the real stuff, no need )
Then use the pbo_decryptor to ...well... decrypt it so that it will
turn into a new folder named DATA3D.
Inside you'll find all the p3d files, and among them, say, an "m113".
Then use the "Texture P3D swapper" or some other tool to open up the
decrypted p3d file where you can see all the tex_names!
( I believe the tex_swapper has a readme included ).
You also need a few other tools, like the BIS tool "TEX VIEW" which is needed for
making ofp images (pac and paa) into editable tga image files
;D
Then ya need "PAINTSHOP" to re-tex the textures and save as tga files.
make, swap & save, use texView again back to pac/paa, and THEN you're
ready to swap the orig p3d files (using the p3d swapper tool) with
your newly made custom textures...
( did I get it all done up there ?!
;D ) hmmm.
maybe some nice & friendly chap will support us here and finish up
this lil' TUT.
ONE thing I know I missed is the textures (the orig ones) ; they're located in the DATA folder.
same procedure as with the data3D folder, I'm afraid :-\ ;D
uhm, *cough* and then the CONFIG's :wow: :noo: ;D
uuuuhm, that's a whole other story... you're prolly best off by simply unpack an older addon
and use the config as your base! :-\
Otherwise, this would turn outta hand for lil' ol' me
( I'm tired, sorry m8 )
Oh
the final step is to re-pbo the crap, both the textures & the p3d & the config.
This is done with a PBO_tool
Anyone else feel like being warmhearted tonite? ;D ( j/k lazzy - g'luck
)
