Voice Changing...
« on: 17 Jul 2006, 19:07:19 »
Hello  ;D

Now I have reached the level of mission making where I need some voices. Problem is, theres only me, and according to the internet there are programs that could edit my voice into a thousand others....but, could someone suggest anything that works like a dream? I tried a couple of programs but they didnt work, just made an awful ... blurrrrrrrrrrrghhhhh .... noise that I feared would break my speakers.

So, voice changing? any tips welcome.

Thanks In Advance  ;D

just for completeness:

there's a hardware voice changing machine by Boss called VT-1. This little FX box allows to change a voice not only by using pitch shifting but also manipulating the so called formants. This is important as simple pitch shifting may sound at least funny and in extreme situations it sounds...uhm, let's say "useless". By manipulating formants it is possible to change a voice from a mature man to a young lady.

...and apart of this....on a party this thing could be a hell of fun  ;D
