Playing one cutscene after the other
« on: 21 Jan 2006, 20:47:27 »
Hi all, I am making a cutscene where a paratrooper drops in, but because he stays in one place, by the time he lands, the cutscene has finished but i want another cutscene to play immediately after the other finishes, how can i do it please?

Well you could make it all one cutscene, or you could make the script of the first cutscene run the script for the second.

Best thing is to look at the tutorials and make your own scripts.  You will never regret it.  For your first scene download a mission that has a cutscene de-pbo it and see how the author wrote the script.

Tutorial Mission in the Editors Depot doesn't have a cutscene but it does have a very simple Intro and the principles and practice are the same.

Learning simple scripting will repay itself 100 times in the first mission alone.    Read snYpir's Friendly Intro to Cope Snippets and Johan Gustafsson's Scripting Tutorial.   (The Tutorial Mission also has some simple scripts you can look at and use as templates.)     For cutscene stuff, read snYpir's camera tutorial and messiah's camera.sqs tutorial.

Trying to make cutscenes with triggers is a terrible waste of time.  I know, I did it.    Big mistake.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
