SetFaceAnimation

Its in the comref, and I tried it out, but it doesn't appear to do anything. The comref says its supposed to set the blink animation... but it doesn't. Anyone ever play around with this command before? It might be usefull to me if I can get it to work right.

I tried it a few times without success, but I never investigated why it didn't work. Maybe it's one of these obsolete commands from ancient OFP history?

Hmm... can't remember where I read it (was one of BIS's com refs I think), but basically this command was made obsolete by the 'setmimic' command. I guess by 'obsolete' they mean 'disabled'.

That doesn't seem right, SetMimic alters all of the other parts of a units face but not blinking. It would be nice to be able to set the blink animation.  :-\

And SetMimic is too limited, only being able to choose from a handful of expressions, rather than changing the individual parts.

Why don't you make an addon with a copy of the face with the eyes closed. Not perfect but a workaround.

Not really a workaround in my situation. Well its not like I even need a workaround, if it doesn't work then I won't use it...
