New MARPAT
« on: 01 Aug 2005, 17:43:51 »
I've heard something about new MARPAT marines. I'm curious, is there a new version out?

It'd be nice to know since I'm doing a campaign with the first version and changing all units would be a real pain in backside. ::)

I think Wip? maybe released a beta a while ago but in it's current state Earl and Suchey's look better.
I can't give you a link because info.cz is down right now but you can find it in the addons/mods complete section on BI forums if you have patience to scroll trough them.
Damn shame! The Codeblue mod was working on the best and most realistic us marines i've seen in a game, but now it appears the mod is dead.

Edit. here it is: http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?showthis=8324

Wip?

I don't much care if someone else makes marines, only if Earl and Suchey have updated theirs. You know what a pain it is to replace all the units on the map and the addon confusion unless the patch does it for you. :P

edit: Thanks for the info though.

Ey Roach, you know that you can make mass-replacement without opening mission editor also;

open mission.sqm and edit the class names

with the right text editor you can replace equal words by your
choice

Without one, you still can do it easier than in editor, where
you must dbl-click every single loon;

just enter the classname you want to change into searchbox and
strg-c the classname for replacement into your buffer.

By pressing F3 you repeat the search and by strg-v you can
replace it.

:edit - btw - i just found out in another thread where you posted
in that you already know what i was posting - ms word - 'very important
this is' was what you said there  ;)

Well, if Wipman updates his usmc beta and put in as much detail as his latest m4 pack, i know i would.

If your interested guys I'm making some Marines for my squad. Some O2 Screens can be found at our forums here - http://usmcsquad.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=25

Main forums are here - http://usmcsquad.org/phpbb2/index.php

The pack is about 85% complete.

Yea, I already knew how to find and replace stuff in the .sqm, but still, works work especially if its unnessasary.

@safetycatch: Cool stuff, they look good.

So I guess my original query is NA as no one's heard anything about that. So maybe in the future I'll decide if I'll switch addon packs or something...

Ooh yes defenantly interested, Those screenshots look promising, look's like they're based on HYK soldiers? And proper NV goggles with them, very nice.

To be honest they don't look Codeblue great, i can't show you screenshots because they're webpage is no more.
But your marines look very nice.
