Make Intro play in the beginning.
« on: 15 Jul 2005, 10:06:03 »
I've made an intro in the Editor.
I made it under Intro in the menu.

But how do I get the mission to play the Intro when I play the mission?
It skips to the mission directly.

Could anyone help me out on this?

Save your mission and select EXPORT TO SP MISSION". Click OK.

Leave the editor. You can now find it under SINGLE MISSIONS in OFP. The intro should play automatically on startup. I think there must be a briefing in the mission if the intro shall play, though.

I have it as MP mission.. Is it the same?
I've been using the PBO-tool instead of the export thingy. Does it make any difference?

The intro function from the editor does not work in MP, unfortunately. You have to make a separate camera script that films actions and events on the actual mission map to make it work. Then you can start this camerascript like any other script directly in the beginning of the mission. I suggest you start your intro in the toip line of your init: [] exec intro.sqs (or whatever you named your intro)

The pbo-tool does exactly the same as the export function. I also prefer to use that one.
