Search out and destroy
« on: 11 Jul 2005, 00:58:52 »
i need a script that makes it so if an AI man sees an enemy then the enemy goes out of view(behind a corner or somthing) then the AI will go and search for him at his last known location.

the problem i have is, i run around a corner, an AI sees me, I backpedal back around the corner so he cant shoot me and wait, and he never ever decides to walk over to where he last saw me and look for me.

thanks in advance

wow that was neat, i did feel hunted, but tell me, was it the helocopter that kept relaying my position tho the infantry even though i ran?

but its kind off a lot of scripts for different things when i just need one. how would i just have it so if a man sees a enemy he will go looking for him.

Partly, an enemy helicopter in the air will make it quite hard to escape, at least if your using any veichle but since you said you ran I think it was the regular infantry troops that tracked you.

If you have been detected by any AI units thats part of the GL II it's hard (but not impossible!) to escape (or hide) but you have to run fast and far (or find a good hiding place) to succeed.

It's your choice but the GL II adds/fix much more than the tracking part. If you want to write your own script check out the knowsabout and getpos commands.

Good luck!
