Text in cutscene
« on: 15 Jun 2005, 18:36:18 »
Ive seen this done a few times and have searched through the tutorials and forums for an answer, but found none.

Ive got my cutscene all set up, but i want to add text to it. I want the text to be in the blackened (Is that even a word? ::)) area. I know how to get it there, but i want it at the bottom coming from the far right? If you get what i mean.

Id also like it in a different font the default stuff, help is greatly appreciated.

For custom fonts you will need to make a title resource. A tutorial can be found here:

If you want to display regular text over a black screen, then you will need to do something like this:

titletext["Blah blah", "black out", 5]

Check out Xenophanes's tutorial.  This is the tutorial I used to make the text for my mission, Red Tide.  I highly recommend it.

Also check out General Barron's tutorial.  I never used his tutorial, but that's because I didn't know about it. ::)

Read them both and see if they help.

I thought I was taking too long to write my post, turns out I was right :P
