Hey,
How do I hide markers right from the start and let them appear just as objectives that are hidden from the player? I tried the ["markername","HIDE"] command but that didn't work. I red this in a tutorial about moveable markers, so I think I'm looking in the wrong direction and has this command nothing to do with hiding markers....

Simple. Make them "empty" in the editor. When you need 'em later you can use the command SetMarkerType. Check it in the ComRef.

Try with:

"markername" setMarkerType "empty"

When needed replace "empty" with "Objective, Destroy, Start, End, Dot ... "

Well another route would be to use Snypir's Tut in... you guessed it, the Editor Depot, How to use objectives and init.sqs snYpir 1.0 . He covers hiddden Markers as well.

Also search for my name and I had questions on this topic before and got stuck and was solved.
