Real Suppressing Fire

would it be possible to have the ai respond to enemy gunfire in their behaviour. im pretty sure that if you used the fired eventhandler to find out whether an enemy fired and then count the amount of shots being fired you could then stimulate various changes in behaviour. its just what kind of things you would be able to do because i know OFP has a very entrenched AI system. but maybe you could make them get down or combine it with a running for coverscript?

just a thought.

There's such a system in KeyCat's Group Link II script pack.

Quote
- Enemy AI now react to suppressive fire from machine guns (M60, PK etc.) so now machine gunners can be used a bit more tactical and slow down advancing enemy infantry (optional, can be disabled).
