I didn't know where to put this so I put it here.

Anyway, How do you take screen shots? Do you have to download an addon? or is there an easyer way?

much easier, although i've been told it doesn't work for some folk, dunno why...

anyways, take a look at your keyboard, at the F12 key - next to it, depending on your keyboard, there should be a key which says "Prt Scr" or something similar. press it.

now open a graphics package like Paint, or even better Photoshop, and then paste. presto. one screenshot.

i have a question in return for anyone viewing this thread - is flashpoint available on the mac, and if so, what's the keypress combo for screen grabs, as i've forgotten. just curious :)

If it doesn't work for you (it used not to work for me) grab a free screenshot utility off the net.   Make sure it can handle directX applications.

I used to think it didn't work for me also.  I would press the PrintScrn button start painshop open a new document and try right click paste.  That didn't work.  Now I use the windows hotkeys ant it does work.  Just open a new document and instead of trying right click just press <Ctrl v> which is the hotkey for paste.

I imagine almost everyone here has Resistance, and hopefully a card that supports pixel shaders... if so DXDLL has a built in screenshot function which is really handy.  There is also a few programs, like Fraps, Grabber2k, etc. which allow you to take pictures without having to exit OFP..

I think I have to press SHIFT + Print screen, or maybe CTRL + print screen. I'm not really sure what it is I have to press, so I kinda just hold down the entire bottom-left corner of my keyboard and then press Print Screen.  ::)

If I recall correctly:

PrtScn copies the whole screen.

Alt-PrtScn will copy only the active window.

I suggest you get DXDLL (Search OFP.info's news for it). Then run the configuring program (In OFP folder/DXDLL/COnfig.exe or something very similar)
Disable Post Processing, and a few other things like that.. Everything except handle PrintScreen button.
I find show FPS handy too, but it's not too great for screenshots (They show up on them.. It's small, but it's there..)

Also, DXDLL can remove the HUD if you press the App Button (Mine's is right of the right-most Windows button.. It goes Space bar - Alt GR - Windows Key - App Button).. App Button and U, it toggles the Disable-UI..

It removes the crosshairs, ammo counter, etc, and it also seems to remove the lens flare and a few other things like that.. Kinda minor in most cases though.

As far as I've seen, DXDLL works with almost all grpahics cards if you disable postprocessing.

Thanks everyone!

The print screen button works but when I put the picture in the mission folder, and the picture line in the overview, then I export the mission...

It says "error diminsions # * # not 2^n" when I look at the overview in the single player mission screen.

Whats wrong??

 ??? ??? ???

Use your favourite picture editor to change the dimensions to be in powers of 2.

i.e.

2
4
8
16
32
64
128
256
512
etc
etc
