How to exit the game

hi everyone merry chrismas

i am struck with a deep and confusing problem

somehow when the player after exiting my game and went back to the main menu somehow still he can play my game.

things like firing the gun and move around still can be done even when he is in the main menu of the game and i donno why

If its an island without an intro/cam piece for the main menu then your exited mission/map can still be played, not very functional though, via regular controls with the main menu in the foreground. Its just the way it is coded or something, I haven't had any bad results from this so I think its okay. :-\

This shouldn't happen on the BIS islands unless you did something to the file.

so how do i know if its me that is the person who done something to the map? because its some map which i got from my friend and its my first time to edit a game and i am not sure if i were to accidentally touched it

The official islands come with intro anims that show when you quit back to the main menu.

Third party addons mostly don't have these anims unless the person that made the island has made one.

I imagine in your case the island maker has not made an intro anim for this island, so, when you quit back to the main menu, it just shows the mission you were playing by default.

It's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.

well then if i want to change this how do i do it?

i really wish to make a good game for my friends to play.

You need to edit the addon. There's two problems with it though. 1, it's illegal if you haven't got permission and 2, it's hard if you're new to OFP editing (which I suspect you are?) .

Basicly, it doesn't effect the mission itself, so it's nothing to worry about matey.

An intro anim for an island is made in the mission editor and saved as an intro type mission.  It involves a good bit of camera work to make a good one.

I wouldn't recommend trying it if you are a beginner, until you read some tutorials on scripting and also on camera work.

You will find such tutorials in the editors depot if you want to give it a go.

i know about scripting and i have already done camera script however its just that i do know how really quit the game and play the intro move i made just all

and if you are saying about the permission it isn't hard i can email the map maker however i just want the reply to my answer because its fustrating that i have finish the game however it isn't as perfect as i want it to be

It doesn't matter what mission you play on this island, if it doesn't have an intro anim then when you quit from any mission on this island you will always see the last mission you played at the point that you quit from.
