Motion Blur
« on: 11 Oct 2004, 21:06:14 »
After looking at a few photoshopped pics on gotf.net i thoght up the greatest idea of my life: motion blur for ofp!! After talkin with [ICR] on mIRC and keg's DXDLL i think it should be possible.

I'm new to both C++ and DX so I won't be able to do it for quite a while. If anyone could help me outwith coding ideas or learning what i need i would appreciate it more than i can say.

Any ideas on what i could implement with it would also be appreciated. I'm thinking of letting the player chose the degree of blur (got the idea for that from the drunken/dizziness thread - thanks to gooner for that :))

I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone will be kind enough to help me out.

I was thinking more of general blur when ur moving at speed, the world slightly blurs around u to give you more of a sense of movement and speed. Explosion blurs would be pretty cool too actually.

And wow to the reply, didnt expect to actually get one. I um forgot what i was gonna type cos i left the comp for about an hour after typing "I"... oh well.
