HELLO ITÂ'S ME AGAIN!

Hope IÂ'm not too difficult with my endless long blabla...s and smilies?

HereÂ's some things about choppers:

Why are the chopper pilots ALWAYS flying and turning to the wrong direction and angle from the enemy. When they should move and turn in the best angle for the side gunner to aim and take out the given target?

And same goes with the helo landings, when it could give coverfire to the boarding / unloading troops, it makes it self, and the troops an easy target? Even the beautifull BAS-helos are doing the same thing. Lately IÂ've used setDir script but it looks stupid. And if the LZ is not flat, the bloody thing still keeps turnig.

Is this some universal game engine, AI, scripting, or addon maker problem? Can this be solved to a realistic userfriendly condition?

What about the pilots. I know that some choppers have bullet proof windows, but there are limits to that. In real life the 7,62 caliber rounds + higher, have pretty good effect on lightly armoured surfaces when fired from straight angle and close range (100-300m). Not to mention 12,7. In the game I cant take out the chopper pilot with my sniper riffle trough the window, or with anything else for that matter. The pilot dies only when the chopper "dies"...?

IÂ'm not an expert with aircraft windows, but I do know something about bullets. Maby somebody can straight this thing out?

Oh yes, one more thing. Some of the Bas heloÂ's have miniguns and they are great, but seriously speaking when the minigun rounds hit the ground.... eerh... really people, that is one of the most effective MGÂ's today!!! And in the game it looks like sombody threw a hand full of little stones to the ground. The "cloudlets" animation is seriously unrealistic. The Resistance addon minigun(M134?) soldiers weapon effects are much better. Somebody should tsheck that out ;D

It is all depending on our computers power (benchmark). The game is made, to be playable on a common computer. Wait some 5-10 years and physics in OFP4 or whatewer will be so realistic, that some will be dissappointed in electrical current going through a material and not working  like in real life and physics book formulas. Things that now are not worth thinking of.

Thanks for the reply Uldich.

Take it easy man, I know this is still just a computer game, but the are you shure that the "cloudlet animations" and explosions would take THAT much cpu-power?
If that is the case, then why bother to do something like ECP -mod, that is clearly cpu-power eater, in the first place, etc??
I think that even if some animations would make gameplay a little sticky sometimes. Thats just ok. Its better to have different missions and visual quality options with maximum realism as much as possible, rather than start saveing overall effects and realism, just because everybody doesnt have power pcÂ's.

Lets face it yes, the old OFP game engine is heavy, and untill OFP 2 ... I still want to play this game. The thing iÂ'm asking is,that is something simply impossible to do or not, and why?

about the bullet dirt cloudlets like i said before if you can find a pic on internet or other then i can solve that  prob.

also could u link me to that resistance m134, it sounds neat
