Pirate memory games.....

only joking, how do you add a link from the main briefing page to the notes section? I tryed and failed to do this, also how do you have a new line? (i tryed <b> or something like that but nothing happened) Cheers in anticipation of your wisdom.

It depends what you're editing the briefing with. You can use frontpage and make the text you want to link to the notes page a hyperlink and set its target as #Main. This should make it a hyperlink to the notes section that should work in the game.

As for new lines I think <br><br> should do it. If that doesn't work try <b><b>. I think one break will just intent the line.

I've never used chopse but should be ok. If you arn't able to perform any of the steps you can save the briefing as an html and edit it from there using a html editor like frontpage or even notepad if you want. Doing the links in notepad is tougher though. Use:

<A>href="#Main">the linked text</A>

Remember, the target for the link should be #Main that's the key.

PLAN - The M113's hit the beach <a href = "marker:beach">here</a> and we disembark <a href = "marker:alpha">here</a> and launch our assault on the <a href = "marker:town">town</a>. Once the towns clear and the <a href = "marker:shilka">Shilka</a> destoyed we board the M113's  <a href = "marker:m113_1">here</a>. <h2><a name="Situation"></a>Situation and background:</h2><br><br>

<h4>SCUD-D is the NATO designation for the Russian SS-1e short range surface to surface missile.  These missiles are capable of carrying either a conventional high-explosive, a 5 to 80 kiloton nuclear or a chemical warhead.<br><br>

We believe the missiles currently on Kolgujev are armed with low yield nuclear warheads.<br><br>

<h2><a name="Enemy"></a>Enemy Forces:</h2><br><br>

<h4>The Russians will protect their SCUDs at any cost.<br><br>

There are concentrations of Russians throughout the island, all capable of reinforcing the main base should it be attacked.<br><br>

One particularly large group of elite Russian forces is located at a <a href="marker:Base1">base</a> in the south of the island.  Your first objective is to capture the base and kill or drive off all the Russians there.  You must not allow these elite troops to remain operationally effective.<br><br>

This base is also where Bravo will be landed by Black Hawk, so it must be free of enemy before you call them in.<br><br>

<h2><a name="Own"></a>Own Forces:</h2><br><br>

<h4>Two teams will be involved in this operation: Alpha is a team of Special Ops that will parachute into the centre of the island and Bravo is a squad of elite airborn infantry that will be landed by helicopter once Alpha has cleared the area.<br>You will lead Alpha.<br><br>

After disembarking, Bravo will proceed independently west and north and will take up <a href="marker:BDefence">postion</a> on the approach to a guarded <a href="marker:Junction">road junction</a>.  They will ensure nothing comes in behind you while you clear the junction.<br><br>

From that point on Bravo will only operate under your instructions.  See <A HREF="#Communications">Communications</A><br><br>

Bravo will drop ammo crates when they disembark from the helicopter and also at the road junction.<br><br>

Bravo has been issued with a secure tracking device.  Bravo's position will be constantly updated on your mission map.<br><br>

As leader of this operation you must ensure that all surviving members of Bravo squad are safely off the island before you depart.<br><br>

<h2><a name="Communications"></a>Communications:</h2><br><br>

<h4>You will have some control over Bravo, Charlie (your chopper) and Delta (Bravo's chopper) by use of radio commands.  Bravo is assigned to channel 1; Charlie to channel 2 and Delta to channel 3.<br><br>

Radio instructions will change dynamically during the mission depending on the situation, but beware, the instructions available are those that are possible at that time, not necessarily those that are sensible.<br><br>

<h2><a name="Orders"></a>Alpha squad orders:</h2><br><br>

<h4>From the <a href="marker:Start">drop zone</a> you will move south and clear the southern enemy <a href="marker:Base1">base</a> of Russian reinforcements.<br><br>

You should then proceed to the guarded <a href="marker:Junction">road junction</a> and kill all Russions that you find there.  You will need to take this junction quickly so as not to alert the main base nearby.  Do not allow any escaping Russians to reach the main base.<br><br>

Once you have cleared the junction of Russians you should give Bravo instructions by radio.  Together you and Bravo must then assault the <a href="marker:Base2">main base</a>, destroy the missiles and all AA units.  Aerial reconisance shows an <a href="marker:AAA">AA screen</a> of three Shilkas protecting the SCUDs.<br><br>

Local partisans have placed beacon fires to mark the <a href="marker:Evac">Evac point</a> for the recovery helicopters.  These beacons need to be lit before you can call in the helicopters.  Take care, these beacons may also attract any Russians still in the area.<br><br>

You must cover Bravo's departure before you leave the island.<br><br>
