Could i ask A huge favour

I have some Modle's in Gmax and cant get 3D studio max so if i sent them to some kind person then convert to p3d or what ever and send back to me i would be so thankfull

          Hope someone can help thanx

As far as i know you cant export from gmax in any other format other than gmax. If Im wrong please let me know how its done because I dont belive you can.. Except for thoose game packs like the one for quake 3 but you only get md3 file format from that..

Yes and md3 can be opened with a few progs like deep exploration    which can save as .3ds :) I did it for my fokker.. i lost a few parts in the process but that isnt a problem ;D

Counld'nt someone with 3d studio max changed Gmax formats to p3d i thought someone said they an so if it is possible then that owould be sooooooooooooooo.........GreaT

Coz i have some well cool WW2 models and some modern day models.

You can't open gmax format in any other program than gmax.

What you can do however is a work-around as already described above.

You guys must have lots of money cuz you always mention using some tool that cost to much just to change a file type eekk.  I think outsiders doing modeling working for ofp was an after thought or not at all.  ???

Deep Exploration doesn't cost a lot of money, Milkshape 3D doesn't cost a lot of money.

Both tools are very good ways of getting .3DS files for O2.

I am lucky enough to get at 3D Studio MAX ($3000 software) through my school.

Both DE and MS are about $20-30 I think, quite a big difference y'know ;)

I bought milkshape 3d but deep exploration was like 250.00 us
