paradrop script problems
« on: 02 Jul 2004, 18:22:44 »
i have used the script on ofpec by the coyote to great success in a great deal of my missions. However, ive spoken to someone who shares a common problem that i have with the script when i implement it. Basically, the helicopter reaches the point at which the script is to be activated and simply starts flying around in circles, spiralling gently towards the ground. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone have any idea what im doing wrong or what could be wrong? If you have, please post with your ideas.

thanks

I am not familiar with the script you mention.  I wrote my own instructions for this before I found the scripts that others had written.  The problem you describe is one I had before I realised that I had to unassign each unit from the helicopter.  The command is:

unassignVehicle unit
Operand types:
    unit: Object
Type of returned value:
    Nothing
Description:
Person is unassigned from the vehicle. If he is currently in, group leader will issue order to disembark.

Example:
    unassignVehicle player
