Adding voices to Radio Commands
« on: 04 Jul 2004, 02:45:47 »
I am trying to add my leaders voice to my radio command. That way when I use my radio command to signal a chopper attack, I can hear my leader's voice stating the command. I am currently using a trigger to signal the command. I am looking for a way to add a command to a trigger rather then creating a script for this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need Bloodmixer's sound tutorial.     It's in the Ed Depot.

Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Thanks for the reply Macguba,

I checked out Bloodmixers tutorial, it looks good, but, I don't have alot of time to figure out how to put together a init.sqm  etc....

What I have is a couple of Apaches that are activated to attack by a switch trigger radio command.

I want to hear the pilot state "Team Alpha On The Way" when I select the command off the radio on my map.

II was hoping all I needed was a script to put in the activation field for my trigger I don't know maybe I am wrong. Maybe its not that easy.

Thanks for your suggestion

It is easy, but you need to put stuff in your description.ext and it does require a modest amount of application.    It is not a case of just one line of code in the trigger, although obviously you do need that.   Working through the tute is the fastest way of getting what you want.

You need to understand the basics of description.ext and init.sqs if you want to make a half decent mission:   it's not optional.
