Is it possible to create a plane with its gear up?

Look in the sticky thread with the name "The time for action has come" and see f you can find an action which makes a planes gear go up.

So it's possible?  ;D
But to do that with an empty plane....

1. Would I have to place someone in first
2. execute the code
3. delete him afterwards

OR

Can an empty plane do that with itself? (I mean lifting his gear)

Thanks for replying  ;)

Well where is this plane?
If its in the air, I'm pretty sure you know this, that it already has its gears up. On the ground you have to use the action like armstrong said.

Cennsas can't have their gears go up since they are fixed. :P

Well this is the story:

I'm creating a mission where a plane has crashed but to simulate this crashed plane, I want to use a plane that is lying on the ground with its gear up....

I can create it, but I only don't know how to get it's gear up.  :-\

I vaguely recall that some or all planes won't retract their gear if they are on the ground.   Don't quote me.   You might have to setpos the plane high into the air, use the action to retract the gear, then setpos it back where you want it.

This feels like the kind of question where the way to find the answer is a bit of experimenting.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play

Name: Landing gear
Description: Toggles the landing gear of a plane or chopper
Syntax: vehicle action["Land gear"]
Example:plane1 action ["Land gear"]
Notes: If the gear is up then this command lowers the gear and vice versa. If the AI controls the vehicle then it will deny the lowering/rising of the gear depending on the situation.

This was in the time for action has come thread posted by Rom.
I hope it helps. :P

Thanks for the suggestions...
I tried the land gear action, but that did nothing :-\

I'll try macgubas' thingy now...

EDIT

Tried your suggestion macguba, but with no result...  ???

Are there other solutions? Thanks  ;)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
GOT IT....

1.Created the plane in high air
2.Moved a pilot into the plane, let him have a little ride (long enough to get the gear up)
3.set the velocity to 0
4.deleted the pilot
5.moved it to the "crash"site

Thanks for the ideas, great  ;)
