missions based on new addons
« on: 13 Jun 2004, 07:30:55 »
i think i'm not the first one who is wondering why there are so many great addons and mods created, but so few missions for them ? soon as you find an addon of your interest, you sometimes only find one or two missions at all that got a rating from 1 to 4  ?  ???

we may could organize it somehow ? what do you think ?  :)

Yes I think so too, but look at the BAS delta/rangers pack, the missions featuring them that came out as soon as they were released were just people that wanted to give the community at taste of what they could be used for. But most of these addons are just mounted PK's or a new pistol or sniper rifle. (no offence intended to the makers!) You could make whole 20 mission campaigns about some of the troop addons like the BAS delta/ranger pack or the UKF pack but you just have to wait a while till someone has a great idea for a mission based on a addon and accomplish it well, then it will get 8-9 or 10 mission score!

I would be more than happy to do a mission about sci fi or a crime.  I think this engine is flawed as far as military goes.  I had an idea lately to do a mission set in the future and you play as an assassin for a  secret agency.  It is your task to eliminate a war colonel for the coalition in a war in north korea.  The war colonel was responsible for helping north korea to get nukes loaded up for launch by ordering the UN personnel to leave their posts.  You are ordered to assassinate him and a japanese traitor as well.  You will have to go through some burly security to nail the targets.  It's going to be great.  It will use the battle over hokkaido mod, the north korea mod, the modern infantry pack by hyakushiki and the kill bill model, and last but not least, the troublemakers mcmalden.  I am not really sure what i wnat to do yet but i want to use the troublemakers mc malden, the kill bill girl, some bad ass futuristic looking guns, bikes of course, and a hostage situation.

Hello there,

Unfortunately this board is "Addon Discussion", not mission discussion.  And there isn't really a place for this kind of suggestion on this forum since this isn't about a specific mission idea and it isn't a mission that needs beta testing, though I think it's a great idea to focus on getting more missions out there!

I'd suggest checking out the BIS forums, here.

Good luck, I agree, we need more missions!
