Someone help me with this little script

Check the script below... I know the basics of making scripts like these work, but this one has beat me. Could someone help me get this to work? It's a a new effect of fire and smoke that comes out of a tanks cannon when fired.

Well, I saw it on some German forums. My German is sketchy, but after inspecting the script and the thread in which I found it, I gathered that this is what it is. Still haven't figured out how to use it. Besides, I'm not at home right now.
