ending a cutscene
« on: 02 May 2004, 18:34:19 »
oh no u say? its that stupid idiot ThEoNaNdOnLy again, asking yet another stupid and annoying question, but i require your knowledge once again

i have been fishing around and i have MADE, ALL BY MYSELF MY FIRST 20 SECOND INTRO, but i have a problem

i dont know how to end it....

i have put the ending lines in the script as :

titlecut [" ","black in",2]

exit

but all that does it to make it go back to normal view, i want it to end the cutscene and then end the intro alltogether!

it is quite shabby when you have to press esc. to stop you looking aimlessley at the back of a finnish soldiers head while he looks randomly at passing objects.

plz help, also could some one explin how to make a briefing like they do before missions, where you can click on words and stuff, or just give me a link to a good tutorial as i find that part of ofpec really hard to navigate.

You will find all sorts of tutorials in the Editors Depot.

If you are having trouble un-expanding the menus.......make sure you are NOT logged in.

The menus default to expanded when you are not logged in...........at least they do for me.

Or just select end1 in a trigger.

Dunno which drop down box it is in but look in all of them. Look for end1 and that will end ur cutscene.

To end your intro you must put a trigger in the editor (part "intro" of the mission) : Type : End#1, Condition : true, Countdown : X,X,X (X is the length of your intro ; in your case it will be around 20 ; you'll have to play with this number in order to end the intro just when the screen is dark).
