Using artillery in WGL 4.00 mod

I tried to make a mortar barrage in the WGL mod, but the explosions effects are missing. The barrage itself works, but it has no visual effect.

I used barragearrea.sqs posted in the scripts section.

Also is it possible to make the AI mortar team assemble and fire the mortars and how?
