Other names from Papa Bear.......

Are there other names to use besides "Papa Bear" or making a custom one? And how do you make those names e.g. "Papa Bear" appear as a radio chatter.......

 Make a trigger that will be activated at the start of the mission
 e.g. east present and place it over some east troops.
 
 then in the 'on activation field' put:
 
Papabear = [West, "HQ"]
 

 
 then to make him speak just write:
 
 papabear sidechat "Hello, this is Papa_Bear. Do you have any muffins left?"   ;D

Umm, I'm not really new here Sefe, I just changed my name thats all. Well seeing your replies only a part of my question is answered....is there any chance that you could have a custom name besides Papa Bear, Firefly base or whatever alse, thought of making my own HQ name hehe...

As far as I know the best you can do is put the HQ name at the start of the text, so that something like this will appear

Bravo Red 1  "(Tranquility Base)   The Eagle has landed."

macguba, that is exactly the reason why I decided to put this topic on this forum coz its the best editing forum so far......I don't want the Bravo Red 1 or Charlie Black 1 or whatever of that kind on the front.....thats why I wanted to make a custom one get it.....(I know, the way I typed this thread is kinda insulting to you, but I didn't really meant that okay.....)

When I first saw your original post I didn't reply because I couldn't help.     However, I don't like a thread to end with "we don't know" so I reconsidered.   :-\  The post is the best answer I know of to the problem:  it obviously isn't going to help you but it might satisfy one of the many others who are reading the thread.

there is a way but its overkill for a single mission, you need to open the stringtable here \OperationFlashpoint\BIN\STRINGTABLE.CSV and search for this line STR_CFG_HQ_BASE then just change the word base next to it to whatever you want. You'll need to distribute the new stringtable with your mission and make sure you tell the player to make a backup so there's no problems when upgrading.

Alright, guess I have no choice but to use Black feather's theory.......wonder why BIS doesn't want people to make a custom name hmmm...well, anyways all of you guys and I meant ALL of you people who at least took a peek or replied are very very helpful, I really liked some of those ideas you gave but I still wish BIS make another upgrade (ver.1.80) for resistance which you could have other names from "Papa Bear"....thx again guys and good editing...
