fire behind wood fence

my question is when a man setunitpos "up" and stand behind a wood fense why he hold fire?can I let him open fire is this sector?

I have a feeling he can't "see over" the fence.    Do a good forum search, this came up a while ago and I have a vague recollection that somebody solved it.

Hey TonyRanger!

You have to use "setdamage 1" to allow units to shoot over most objects in OFP. Here is a topic that goes into a little detail about this issue.

I sometimes setdamage to 1 and also setpos the barrier a little lower into the ground to get units to shoot over them.
