How to change the texture for data/ to my addon folder

How do I change the texture from my data/ folder and into my addons folder dsmgarage because I uv mapped it and then imported the 3ds file into o2 and it converted the texture and applied it but the texture path is under data not my addon folder and wheni pbo it this will not work what deo I do to change the texture path from data to dsmgarage.
